If you described this lady too me I would probably have said she does not sound my type (rather bony, fairly heavily tattooed) yet when I see her I rather like her. Strange how the mind works.
She also rather randomly triggered another line of thought: the fringe to her hair is rather short and I was about to comment on that being actually quite attractive on her when I realised in American the “fringe” is called “bangs”. Many differences in the languages I can see how they came about but that one just intrigues me: what on earth has a fringe of hair got to do with “bangs”? Divided by a common language again.
